Global Affairs will not authenticate a notarized copy of a Birth Certificate. Only an original birth certificate obtained from the relevant Provincial or Territorial Vital Statistics Office can be authenticated by Global Affairs Canada.

If you require a replacement Birth Certificate it can be ordered directly from the Vital Statistics office. Once ordered, you can arrange for the Birth Certificate to be mailed to you. In many cases, you can arrange for the Birth Certificate to be sent directly to our office.

A third party, such are our office, is not typically able to order a Birth Certificate on your behalf. Most Vital Statistics Offices have strict criteria about who can order a Birth Certificate. Once ordered it can either be sent to our address. To save time, you are welcome to have it directed to your office.

We receive a number of Government-issued documents. In many cases, you can arrange to have your document(s) sent directly to us at the following address:

More importantly, we employ a system that we refer to as The Completion Time Method. When suggesting prices, we balance the total time expected to take to have the document(s) authenticated by Global Affairs and then legalized by a particular Embassy or Consular Office. Employing our method translates into lower fees for our customers.
