There are many Canadian corporate documents that are being used internationally.  Some of these documents include, but are not limited to, articles of incorporation, international corporate agreements, trade-mark, patent documents etc.  In the event that these documents are intent upon being used abroad these documents typically need to proceed through a process that it is referred to as authentication and legalization.  In some cases this process is referred to as “Apostille”.

The authentication and legalization process is generally straightforward and could be managed on ones own.  Given the nature of the corporate transaction and overall sensitivity of the documentation, it is strongly recommended that one use an authentication and legalization service provider.  The expected expertise in terms of the authentication of the documents with Global Affairs Canada and legalization with the specific diplomatic mission can be immeasurable when compared to a costly delay.  By using a service such as Capital Authentication, we can save some valuable time while being granted industry expertise.

At Capital Authentication we would welcome the opportunity to assist your office with the authentication and legalization of your Canadian corporate documents for use abroad.  Feel free to reach out to our office either by e-mail at: or by telephone at: 613-236-9975.
